This wine is redolent of white pepper and spice on the nose. The palate is lean and tight but with a balance a tight rope walker would be happy to display. Wonderful fresh and vibrant fruit that is anything but jammy or overripe. Fine tannins leave little doubt that this is a shiraz but one made with delicacy and poise and from a cool climate producer dedicated to style and finesse. The great length of this wine is a hint and a method by which this wine will offer sensational bottle maturation. That said the temptation to drink this wine sooner will cause most of it to be consumed with an abundance of joy within the next 12-18 months.
